Grand Marshal Wyona Jaffe _ Driver Jim Andrus

Dear Neighbors
Welcome to our usual hot time in June! An excessive heat warning is posted by the National Weather Service from June 10 at 10 AM to June 11 at 8 PM. Our local Fire Marshal, Ken Krebbs, reminds us that we are still at Stage II Fire Restrictions. None the less, June is a very active time and includes getting ready for the annual 4th of July Celebration.
This year Kiwanians with the help of other organizations and individuals is bringing back the Pancake Breakfast as requested. BCCA has stepped in to help get the Duck Race up and floating again. And as always the Parade, BC Baptist Church hotdogs, Grace Lutheran lemonade and cookies, and Adult Center ice cream will be at Rollins Park.
Let’s make this the best parade ever for 2022. The registration forms are now at the Beaver Creek fire station, the Kiwanis Clothes Closet and the Beaver Creek Adult Center. It is even more fun to be in the parade than to watch it.
The Beaver Creek Community Association is helping to bring back the Duck Race. The duck signs will go up on the 16th where merchants have the tickets for sale. Still $2 for one duck ticket or $5 for 3 entrants. The top cash prize this year is $300, $200 for 2nd place and $50 for 4th through 6th place swimmers. All proceeds from ticket sales will go toward the Bread of Life Café on Beaver Creek Rd.
This summer in addition to the Wednesday Food Shares at the BC Baptist Church, meals for children are available to be picked up or delivered on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12 to 5 PM. The Beaver Creek Library has a special Adult Armchair program on Fridays, and Saturday morning walks at Montezuma Well are back. These flyers are below. Beaver Creek School is asking us for help in filling positions. Please pass the word or consider getting involved yourself.
This year the BCCA annual meeting is Saturday, June 25th. From 8:30 AM to 9 AM a continental breakfast is available. Beautiful piano music will accompany this. Most of the meeting will be hands on to prepare the ducks for the Duck Race. There will be a few brief reports. One board member position is available. Please let us know if you would like to run for election.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Create a great offer by adding words like “free” “personalized” “complimentary” or “customized.” A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like “for a limited time only” or “only 7 remaining!”
