The National Weather Service has issued the following alert for Yavapai County. If you are headed to Prescott Valley, the snowfall today may be 3 to 5 inches, so be prepared.
For travel to Flagstaff, keep in mind that the Munds Park area may get 10 inches of snow today. Totals are for a 72 hour period, but most of the precipitation is forecast for today.
Our immediate Verde Valley is not predicted to get much if any snow. But it doesn’t hurt to be prepared for wet, slippery road conditions or abrupt change of weather.

Winter Weather Advisory
URGENT – WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ255 AM MST Wed Feb 23 2022 Yavapai County Valleys and Basins-255 AM MST Wed Feb 23 2022.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MST THIS EVENING ABOVE 4000 FEET… 
WHAT? Snow above 4000 feet. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. 
WHERE? Areas above 4000 feet near Chino Valley, Paulden and Prescott Valley.
WHEN? Until 6 PM MST Wednesday.
IMPACTS? Travel will become difficult. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS. The heaviest snow is expected to occur this morning into the early afternoon.  Additional snow forecast from 2 AM Today to 6 PM Today:  Chino Valley 2 to 4 inches   Paulden 1 to 3 inches Prescott Valley 3 to 5 inches.
